My ideal world
The clock is slowly ticking towards the year 2001. Then we will enter a new millennium. This new millennium speaks to the imagination of people. The future will bring a lot of changes. But what are this changes and new developments? Here is my vision??lt;br>One world, one country
The combination off all countries of the world to ONE would be an important step towards ideal world. People would become an inhabitant of the world and no longer of a country. This would have multiple advantages. Such as no more problems with passports, no borders, one monetary unit, a worldlanguage, one army, wealth for the entire world,??lt;br>Transport
If there?would be one world a good connection between the different parts of the world would be necessary. The creation of a worldwide network of rails would make things easy. A train who can reach high velocities could take you from one site off the world to the other side. Aeroplanes can bridge distances that are too big. It would only take a little hour to get from one side to the other. This all would use a lot of energy so new sources of energy will become necessary.
Energysources of the future
Energy would be gained from renewable sources. The most important sources of energy would be the sun, wind and water. Huge solarparcs equipped with huge solarpanels in uninhabited places (with enough sun) throughout the world would supply energy. Windmills in the sea ad other places with a lot of wind would also produce energy. Combine this together with hydropowerplants and you have the ultimate source of energy. All the energy would be guided to a central point from where it would be spread across the world. When one source of energy is out of action or doesn?upply enough energy and other will fill in shortage.
Climate control systems
Due to the high pollution in the past our earth is damaged. The nature is disturbed. The air and water is polluted. The ozonlayer is damaged as well. Because of this all a system that controls the climate would be necessary. These machines are spread all over the world. They would pure the air and water. It would also create an artificial ozonlayer to prevent us from sunburn. When nature fails somewhere the machine would restore it. Hopefully after a long while nature will restore and it will be back in harmony.
Social life
People live in houses that are in fresh colours and with a lot of windows. Everybody lives in peace so locks would become unnecessary. A computer who is activated by your voice controls all functions in the house. Shopping is done from in your house. You order your things by computer and then a special service delivers them at home. The computer would gain an important place in the future life.
Internet & entertainment
In the future would be the main way of communication and entertainment. Because people will life all over the world an easy way of communication necessary. Every house would have a PC with direct access to the net. People have a portable unit where they also can access to the I-net. Videoconferencing would be the most popular way of communication. Internet would also have an important place in the entertainment business. On-line games would be a real hit. Together with new technologies such as VR (Virtual Reality) and holograms it would create absolute fun. This would give you the idea that your are in a fairy-tale. Your senses are prickled by all sides. You really think that you?in it. Traditional forms of entertainment would still excises but there would be some mayor changes.
The medical world
Diseases would be rare in the future due some new revolutions in the medical world. Cloning of organs would be useful to replace injured organs. And intelligent bacteria that can be brought into the human body would be an other renovation. This little thing goes into the body instinctively searches bad bacteria?n the body and tries to kill it. Mostly this is successful. In other cases other treatments can be applied.
Space
The future is equal to space colonisation. Acceleration on technical level would increase the options for space exploration. There?would be bases on the moon and Mars. It won?e used only for scientific research but also as a place to live. Space ships would travel around the galaxy in order to find and discover new thing that could be use full for mankind. An encounter with alians lifefroms could mean a big change for the human race. They could offer us new technologies that would make our world more perfect than it is already is. But they could also diseases and war. How knows? The question is: "Are we alone out there or is there something else as well?" The future will tell us.
